Carnival kicks off Heritage Jubilee

Last night was the first night for the carnival that his held during the Heritage Jubilee. A full calender of events can be found here. For a few more pictures of the carnival on opening night go here. You can always click on any picture for a larger image.

Goody, goody, goody, Jim! I can't tell you how tickled these photos make me feel, other than to say that I'm reliving my youth at the Mississippi State Fair, vertigo and all!

About that bulldozer, I couldn't work in it either. The other day I saw the little one on the left side of the big one picking dirt up from the hole, putting it on the mound, and the bigger one picking up dirt from the mound right about the spot that the little one had just put it. In other words, it looked to me like the big one was digging up its own support. Now I can't imagine what's happening with it sitting on that plate. I just might ride the bus over at lunch and take a look at a different time of day.

Great pics and great fun. I say some carnival rides being towed down 75 toward the big D a few days ago. I bet they were heading your way.
