Year in pictures #2

Runner up for my favorite photo is from the 2013 Heart of Dallas Bowl, Oklahoma State played Purdue. Tomorrow, North Texas plays UNLV in the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl at Cotton Bowl Stadium. I'll be on the sidelines again to hopefully get a favorite for 2014.

Year in pictures #3

New Years Day is normally reserved for the 'picture of the year'.  It can be interpreted anyway you want.  For me, its my favorite picture, not necessarily my best.  It's also hard to narrow it down to just one picture, so I'll post what I think are my top 3, starting with #3.

This was taken at the start of the football year.  These are the cheerleader bodyguards and they happen to all play baseball.  This was my first real attempt to take pictures in a controlled setting. It's photoshopped a lot, but I like the way it turned out.  Hopefully, I can get the baseball players together again before practice starts in late January.

Of course, it took a little bit before they got it right.

A new era begins in Terrell

The Terrell ISD school board voted on, and approved the hiring of a new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. For the first time that I can remember, the positions were posted separately.  Coming in as AD is Buster Leaf.  Mr. Leaf comes to Terrell from Sunnyvale ISD where he served as an assistant coach. Hired as the Head Football Coach is Mike Shields.  Coach Shields was the HC at Red Oak High School.

More Ben Gill

I took this one and a few other at Ben Gill Park right before the ice.  Blogger is really killing the quality of the pictures lately.  Worse than Facebook.  I may need to post linked to Flickr or something.

Taking flight

The Tiger softball team will be out in front of Wal-Mart on Friday and Saturday collecting can goods and cash donations for the Share Center. I'm not sure of the time on Friday, but Saturday will be after the parade.

The Tiger baseball team is collecting unwrapped new toys and clothing for kids ages 5-8 for Arms of Hope, you can give them to any baseball parent or Coach Davis. The deadline is Dec 16th.

Look familiar?

OK, I was had.  This is a photo app used to make it look like the photos are a big ad.  DUH.  I kept thinking, if someone was going to use one of my photos, I have better than that one.

Does this window look familiar? I took the picture of the guy running in the middle and its used without my permission.  I'm guessing its a running or sports store in NYC.

Slowly we thaw out

Terrells latest mural in progress

I guess the cold weather and ice have put a halt to the latest mural in town.  The trees on the right are covered in ice.
