The man behind the camera

That's Mark holding the camera.  I think he is at every race I go to and he knows everyone!  If he's not taking the pictures he's always nice enough to tag the race pictures I post to Facebook.  He's also a running machine, running everything from 5Ks to long distance trail runs.

Yesterday was the annual Patriot Half Marathon in Rockwall.  This was by far my worst half yet. But I finished.

This is the start of the 5K race yesterday morning in Ennis.  The Polka Fest Run is an annual 5K/10K and fun run held on the Saturday morning of the National Polka Festival in Ennis, TX.

#tbt Survivor auditons

Last night for was the final Survivor for the season.  It's still one of my favorite shows.  For #tbt a picture from January 2009 when Survivor came to Randall Noe's in Terrell for auditions. I was told there were over 700 that ended up trying out that day.  I never recognized anyone on the show from the Terrell stop.

Start of the 10K?

Sunday morning was the Free to Breathe 5k/10k in Plano.  I thought I was running the 10k but bad markings on the course let most of us to run maybe a 10.5k.  I knew I was going the wrong way, but I just followed the person in front of me.  It didn't really bother me, I wasn't going to win anyway.

Baseball season is over for the Tigers

The Tigers lost in the first round of the playoffs Friday night to Prosper. They played great all year and made everyone proud.  Now it's time for summer ball.

Dallas Running Club

This morning was the White Rock n Roll 5 and 10 mile run by the Dallas Running Club.  I chose the 5 mile. 

Tyler Webb dominates

Prospers Tyler Webb had 2 home runs, 1 a grand slam, the other a solo shot to lead his Prosper Eagles to a 9-3 win over Terrell last night in Prosper.  Game 2 is tonight in Terrell.

That's my Doctor

Last year when I was having trouble with my knee, I was referred to Dr. Bonsell with the Sports Medicine Clinic of North Texas.  He's an awesome Doctor and I read in his bio that he had competed in triathlons before, including the Ironman in Hawaii.  As I was taking pictures Sunday morning I heard the announcer call out his name as he crossed the finish line.  He was 1st place in the Male Masters Division-Olympic distance.
