Aladdin
Slot machines have come a long way. This is the Aladdin slot at Winstar. The chair moves like you're on a magic carpet ride. I tried to make a wish to the genie, it didnt work.

Finish strong...or just finish
White Rock Racing held the Snowman Shuffle 5K & 10K Saturday morning at Winfrey Point. It turned out to be a nice morning, the snow from earlier in the week had melted so no snowman.

Hotcake Hustle
Before going to the power lifting on Saturday, I ran the 10K Hotcake Hustle in Addison. This is the 3rd year that Brian and I have ran this race. The weather this year was the best yet. It was a little wet on the roads, but the temperature was in the 60s.

Skywatch Friday
The rain cleared out yesterday morning, but I'm not sure if the clouds were moving out or moving back in. Its supposed to get cold and wet tomorrow afternoon. This is an iPhone shot traveling on I-30 across the Lake Ray Hubbard bridge during rush hour while driving, drinking, texting and talking on the phone .

After the rain
The rain turned into a two day event. Looks like we got 2.33 inches of rain. Hopefully there will be a lot of run off into the lakes and it can put a dent into the drought.

Calm before the storm
We are supposed to get hit with a storm today dumping 3+ inches of rain on Terrell. We need the rain, but I wish it was spread out over a couple of days.

Busy weekend
Sometimes you have to make choices. This past weekend there was a lot going on and I had to choose what I wanted to do. I'm glad I decided to take pictures at the DRC Frigid 5K/10K race. Here are a few more from the race.
Start of race temp was around 40. |
