It took the Cowboys from Oklahoma State seven minutes to score yesterday in the Heart of Dallas bowl, but once they started they never stopped. They raced out to a 24-0 lead at half time and crushed Purdue 58-14. Clint Chelf was 17-22, passed for 3 TDs and was named the game MVP. J.W. Walsh also played QB for the Cowboys and threw 2 TDs. As a team Oklahoma State had 524 yards of total yards of offense.
Robert Marve, the Boilermakers QB, ended the game 21-34 and 212 yds but he did throw 2 interceptions. They ended up with 5 total turnovers.
Announced attendance was 48,313. The
Heart of Dallas Bowl proceeds will benefit the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance, a non-profit group of 53 agencies committed to fighting homelessness in the Dallas area.
