Tigers put up a wall

The varsity soccer team scored twice in the first half and put up a wall in the second half to deny North Forney any good scoring chances.  The Tigers won 2-0.

Today is the first day for high school baseball practice in Texas.

I'm ready.

Not really a throwback

Part of the half marathon course in New Orleans was down St. Charles Ave.  When I was a kid my family used to go to Mardi Gras every year, standing on St. Charles to watch all of the parades.  My Mom told me we used to watch the parades from this corner.  So....35+ years later I snapped a picture of the street signs as a ran past.

Saturday evening pep talk

The night before the New Orleans Rock n Roll marathon and half marathon the Rockwall Running Clubs Coach Barrett Hopper gave a pep talk to the runners who made the trip from the Rockwall area.  I think he said there were over 50 people who made the trip.  This was just the group that was closest to him.

Fall sports banquet

Last night was the fall sports banquet for Terrell High School.  Dinner was provided by Pop's in Terrell and awards were present for football, volleyball and cross country.

Lady Tiger Freshman Analyse Abrams-Malone scored 4 goals to lead the Tigers to a 5-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Runner fail

I'm running a half marathon on Sunday.  I find myself wanting to stop and take picture instead of running.
