A carnival favorite

I loved caramel apples growing up. Chomping into the apple covered in caramel and peanuts. Now that was good food. I don't think I have had a caramel or candy apple in over.....that many....years. Now days, I think I would be afraid of chomping down and end up needing dental work. Maybe I could get one and lick the caramel off?

I used to love these as a kid. we called them Toffee Apples. too right, wreck your teeth!Nice shot. The top layer appears different to the bottom layer. I only remember one sort - it's called progress!

I have never been a big fan of caramel apples. If they had chocolate dipped apples, I'd probably like those!

It doesn't work (licking the caramel off) - I tried that! Just enjoy it whole...and make a dental appointment ;-)

On Halloween, when I lived in Turkey, the cafeteria folks made each student a candy apple to have at the end of the costume parade.

Like Jilly said, in the UK we call them toffee apples. Always remind of when a fair came to town and candyfloss. Lovely shot.

I like candied apples but only in small doses. Maybe a slice will do.

They look tempting. Perhaps you could bite into one and get someone else to lick the caramel off?
