April theme day: Water

Today is theme day and the theme this month is water. This picture was taken after one of our heavy rains in March. I like the photo because it shows the water in motion.

If you get the chance take a look at the other City Daily Photo blogs taking part in theme day.

Love the colours and textures and movement in this photograph. Good choice for today.

Very cool, Jim. Reminds me of the heavy downpours running downhill on my ranch.

Gurgle, gurgle. Lucky, we got 6 inches of very heavy wet snow that then froze last night.

Check out my big news today...

At first I thought this was of a small, drying-up creek...quite the opposite I guess! Happy theme day!

I like it too Jim, smooth-looking flow of the water.

Happy theme day!

Water in motion is always fascinating to watch. But it can sure be deadly too. I hope you didn’t have any problems with the flooding that hit Texas.

A nice photo and good choice for theme day.Quite a torrent there; we could do with some of that here.

your part of the country is notorious for moving water like this ... flash floods from your sudden downpours. Happy theme day Jim.

We've heard it's been a wet spring there ... very appropriate pic.

So smooth I thought I was looking at frozen water.

Happy theme day.

Neat! We could use more of that.

Is this in your front lawn Jim?

My wife asked my how I took my photo and was still dry (smile).

I like how you captured the flow.

Happy theme day :)

That is a lot of rain, it's washing away the earth. But it must be welcome. I hope you are not part of the drought in Texas. And I hope you don't suffer flooding. I like this photo a whole lot.

Rain is certainly a blessing! A good downpour can be refreshing.

Great capture Jim, I hope you didn't get too soggy snapping this one!

Looks like a gully washer!

Nice picture. I almost put up a photo of today's rain seen through my car window, but I found the swamp more relaxing.

Nice post and yes I love water in motion too. Can be relaxing to watch. :)

Cool water in motion pic! Rain down your way, snow way up my way. 8 inches of the white stuff in the north metro. A lot more water flowing your way.

I like your photo as well with the water running!

Our waters were high too around March.

What a neat picture! Looks just like the Salt "River" here in Phoenix, which only has water in it after a good rain. That's mostly because it's been dammed to give us a water reserve, though.

Thanks for your comment at Glasgow DP today!

I love how you've captured the movement of the water. I've tried, but never managed to get such a good effect.

It looks like a little flood.

That is a lot of rain water creating a small tidal wave. Nice photo with the rocks. I can almost picture a toy sailboat coming by next.
