Road Trip-Alcohol Abuse

Back in the day, I would probably joke around and say this is a great example of alcohol abuse. How could anyone leave unattended an almost full miniature bottle of Bacardi rum? Shameful. But, times change, and I haven't had a drink since 1995 because of ulcers, I don't miss it, I also haven't smoked in just over 3 years. Today I would call it litter or trash that gives me a picture to post on the last day of April. Behind the bottle is the Woodall Rogers Freeway and uptown Dallas, Texas.

Mo posted a similar photo last Saturday on Another Las Vegas.

Good for you Jim. Our youngest daughter was hooked for about 10 years, but now she is smoke free for over 2 years. Yeah to healthy bodies!!!

I hope some kids don’t come along and find the booze. Drinking is a real problem around the world and it is an especially BIG problem in Alaska. Just one reason that I very seldom drink. Congratulations on making it 3 years with the no smoking!

When I was a young'un (that'd be when NJ let 18 year olds legally drink - bad idea) I got so sick on Bacardi that I can still feel it to this day. So your photo made me a tad bit queasy.
And kudos to you on the nonsmoking - that's a hard habit to quit. Just sayin'.

Good for you for not touching that stuffs for over 3 years. And for the picture itself, I really like it. Well done.

I haven't had a drink since 1996 due to my stroke. I'd leave that bottle with no problem. :)

I guess it's sort of like a glass half empty or half full view on things...

Personally I see it the same way as you, litter, not a good time.

Congratulations on your success with not drinking or smoking. These are two vices that very hard to break, but that provide immense benefits when you do. Great photo as well!
