Is the rain over...for now?

Thankfully yesterday Terrell only was hit with rain and some wind. Other parts of Dallas were not so lucky. Two tornado's touched down and a lot of straight line wind damage. Now the task is for everyone to start the cleanup. They tell us the weekend is going to be great. Lets hope. The picture is a tree at work. There were a couple snapped off because of the wind.

The Annual Terrell Heritage Jubilee begins next Wednesday. If you are in the Dallas Metroplex stop by. The link has all the information you will need including schedule of events. The Barbecue cook-off is my favorite. Of course I will be out taking pictures.

I'm GLAD you didn't get hit any worse!!!

We have spring rain today, and it's to stick around for a bit. Been sunny. Now with rain, stuff will really start to pop, when sun comes out again! :-)

Thank goodness. And I'm not quick enough to know what CPS is. Please fill me in, Jim. Thanks!

Glad a few trees down is all the damage there. Storms are heading our way this p.m.
Hey, that Jubilee sounds like a great event. I'd go for the quilt show and barbecue.

WOW! That's quite a storm, glad nothing worse happened. We had a tree come down in our neighborhood and what a terrible crash. Stormy here tonight.

Nature's pruning. Isn't it nice to see green again? Doing a blog really made me miss the colors of spring and summer.

The white spot is the sunshine reflecting from the building.

I'm glad that you didn't see a lot more damage and are expecting a good weekend. The Jubilee sounds great, and who doesn't love a BBQ cookoff? :)

Jim, I answered your question in my post. :)

You are a fun one! :) I was born in '62. As I have a son soon to graduate from college, there's not too much hiding on this one, is there? ;-)

This has been quite a few days of weather. I heard about the tornadoes in Texas from that big storm and it extended all the way up the country to my neck of the woods.

I did want to mention, I am hoping for a Minnesota Wild versus Dallas Stars in the playoffs. I would love to see Mike Modano end his career in Minnesota [baring a Wild series win].

I can still recall watching Modano play for the Minnesota "North" Stars and am still peeved at Norm Green for moving the Stars down your way.

Though, having the a hockey team back in Minnesota for nearly ten years now has smoothed my resentment for the move. I'm sure for hockey fans in Texas, they were happy for the move. Depends on where you are from eh?

Now I met Modano briefly in Stillwater, Minnesota at the Steamboat, I believe Steamboat was the name of the place. They served alcohol in the place. I was 21, I know I am one year older than Modano, yet he was allowed into the place. Oh the crowd he drew around him that evening.

I still have the North Stars memories from growing up, it's tough not to root for them. Perhaps once the last remaining player from the Minnesota franchise is gone, I can finally close that chapter.

I applaud Modano and all he has done for the Stars and the league, yet I feel jipped that I have not been able to root for him on my home town team.

So yeah, I'm very much rooting for the Minnesota-Dallas series. I have tickets to every third game in the playoffs [I split them with two others], so I know I'll be able to attend at least one game....crossing fingers for this match up.
