Pecan tree

Judging by the leaves and the pecans I can already see growing on the trees, this is going to be a good year for pecans. Terrell has quite a few pecan trees around town.

These lines immediately came to mind as I viewed your post today: "In a mountain greenery, where God paints the scenery..." Lyrics, Rodgers.

That's one very nice thing about north Texas...we had pecan trees in our back yard in Mesquite...the pecans were good!

Love catching up with your blog, Jim. Love the new banner collage--it's amazing. Thanks for including the Carnegie Library and the Iris. Mama got a real kick out of your suggestion that she hurry over to the DMV--so did I. You're a hoot, Jim, a talented, Terrell-loving hoot!
