North Forney gets ready
I was able to make the short drive over to North Forney High School last night to catch a little of their practice. The Falcons have a scrimmage this Friday at City Bank Stadium against Little Elm. North Forney competes in the same district as Terrell, 10-4A.

Yesterday was picture day for the Terrell Tigers football squads. A professional photographer was on hand to take portraits of the players and I was there to take head shots for the program and to capture some candid shots. Lesson learned
The Terrell Lady Tigers hosted the Tigers from Lancaster Tuesday night at the TISD Complex. Lancaster jumped out to a 9-0 lead and led 18-5 after the 1st period. The Lady Tigers could never recover or solve the Lancaster trap defense and fell behind by as many as 35 points. The final score was 67-33. Their district record drops to 3-4, still in 5th place in District 15-4A. They travel to Ennis for a Friday night district game.

Euless Trinity 6 Terrell 0
The Terrell Tigers were one hit in a 6-0 loss Saturday to the Euless Trinity Trojans in their final game of the Benny Jones Tournament.
The Trojans scored in the bottom of the first inning and behind good pitching and fielders being in the right position they were never threatened. The Nathan Adam registered the only hit for the Tigers, getting a one out single in the 6th inning. The Tigers only had two other base runners reaching on walks.
The Tigers finished 1-2 in pool play, and will next face Garland Lakeview Centennial at home before heading to the Waxahachie Tournament next Thursday. The Tigers lost game one of the tournament 13-2 to Garland Lakeview Centennial.

I still haven't been able to go through all of my pictures. Look for a few more on the blog and on Facebook.

Push Push Push
I think the game plan going into Terrell's basketball game with Sulphur Springs Tuesday night was to push the ball every chance they got. On every forced turnover and defensive rebound the Terrell coaching staff was yelling, push, push, push.

The goal was to wear down the Wildcats who only dressed 6 players for the game. I would guess that they were shorthanded because their football team is still alive in the playoffs and there are students who play both sports.

The Wildcats did their best to keep the game close. They hit some 3 pointers early and only trailed by 4 after the first quarter 21-17. Terrell widened the lead to 13 at half time and pulled away in the second half to win 89-65.

Five Tigers scored in double figures
Jherrod Stiggers 24
Darius Simpson 12
Michael White 11
Josh Winfield 11
Michael McNeal 10
The Tigers are now 3-0.

Terrell Tiger shots
These are a few of my favorite shots of the Tigers from Saturdays game against Waco University.

Find these and more photos on the Terrell Daily Photo Facebook page.
Tomorrow will be band, cheerleader and bodyguards.
I was 10-5 picking the NFL games, my season record is 94-50. My fantasy team also won, I moved into 4th place. Top 6 make the playoffs, 3 weeks to go.
