Shade trees

Took a few pictures at Ben Gill Park yesterday. This is a shaded area with picnic tables, a slide and swing set. Look close and you can see Memorial Stadium in the background.

Speaking of Memorial Stadium, less than 2 weeks till the 2009 Terrell Tigers play their home opener.

Terrell takes on Seagoville this Friday on the road. Seagoville is 0-2 and been outscored 0-99.

Deep fried peaches and cream, winner of Big Tex Choice Awards Best Taste. I can't wait for the State Fair of Texas to start. Deep fried butter went home with Most Creative. All of the Choice Award finalists will be available at the Fair.

Something going on with the Beatles tomorrow? I wouldn't know.

Dr. L.E. Griffth home-Terrell Photowalk

For me one of the highlights of the Photowalk was to be able to walk the grounds of the Dr. L. E. Griffith home on 1st Street. Davis Griffith-Cox welcomed the photographers onto the grounds and answered any questions we had about his family or the home that was built in the mid 1800's.

Midway advances

Waco Midway beat Forney yesterday to advance in the Class 4A State baseball playoffs. Here is another picture from Friday nights game in Forney. The spot I was at on the third base line was between the wall and the pitchers warm up area.


The above pic kind of reminds me of the old type baseball cards.

The bottom pic lets you see just how close we were to the warmup area. Looks like he was going to throw it to me.
