Thunder rolls

I enjoy being able to go down to Ben Gill Park and watch some baseball in the fall.  The weather is nice and the start time is earlier than in the spring. Last night it was the team from Terrell and team made up of players from Mesquite Horn.

Click on any picture for a larger view.  I love the eyes of the pitcher focused on home as he delivers the pitch. One day I'll have a good lens that will really capture the details.

The Texas Rangers are close to clinching another trip to the post season.  Lets hope they can at least match last years accomplishment.  My home town team, the St. Louis Cardinals, have been hot and have climbed to only 1.5 games out of the National League wild card spot.  They are 12-2 in their last 14 games, while the team they are chasing, the Atlanta Braves, have gone 6-8.

You're doing a heck of a job with the lens you have! Did you get any rain yet?

Great action photos, as usual. You captured the pitcher's eyes remarkably well...could you just be angling for another lens??

He is really concentrating! Fantastic shot.

Great action shots. That's a lot of black on his face.

Jim, your sports shots are standouts!

I've heard they eat the cole slaw on the BBQ sandwich in Memphis, too. Way to weird for me. Why mess with the taste of the BBQ?
