Tiger season comes to an end

The 2009 Tigers baseball season came to an end last night when they lost to the Midway Panthers 8-3. Midway won the best of 3 bi-district playoff 2 games to 0 and has advanced to play Hallsville.

I am not sure what the goal was when the season started, and getting swept in the first round of the playoffs is not the way you want to end your season, but, I would guess everyone is proud of the teams accomplishment's this year. Coach Rush did an excellent job. The seniors were able to go out on a playoff team, and the underclassmen have something to build on next year. I am ready for 2010. I love daytime baseball.

Congratulations to the Panthers and good luck the rest of the way.
Forney was swept by Waxahachie in its playoff series.
I will have one more baseball picture next Friday for Skywatch.

The Relay for Life is tonight, rain or shine, if the weather holds off, I will be down there taking pictures.
Sunday morning the Run for the Wall makes its annual stop in Terrell. Weather permitting I will be there to take photos also.

Very nice shots Jim. Too bad Terrell had to lose. I think they are winners to be able to get as far as they did. MB

Hubby and I loved it when our now-grown son played ball. We were living in Allen, and they had just built a beautiful sports complex. What a great way to spend spring and summer evenings.

If you ever get a chance, go to a Frisco Rough Riders game over at Gaylord & the Tollway. GREAT old timey ball field. The way it's set up, the players can actually hear what you're yelling, which is pretty interesting in itself!

Sorry your team lost!

Sorry Terrell didn't make it further but advancing to the playoffs is a good thing.
