Koffee Kake Terrell

In November I posted a picture of Terrells newest coffee house. Today I finally made my way inside. The place is wonderful looking. It is an old converted house and each room is decorated just like it was someones dining room or breakfast area. They have a wide assortment of koffee beans, koffees, teas and hot kokoa. They serve sandwiches and have awesome pastries. I had a hot kokoa and an orange danish. Both were very good, I was going to take a picture of the danish but it didn't last long enough.

If you live in Terrell or have business in Terrell stop by. They are open 6am-5pm during the week and 7am-2pm on Saturday. Closed Sunday.
Koffee Kake is located at 201 N. Rockwall, Terrell, TX. 972-551-7145.

Gee, I don't even like coffee, but this place looks delightful. I do like to smell the beans, so I could sit there and enjoy a danish, couldn't I?

Thanks for your visit. Duncan is indeed a cutie, and the snow wasn't too bad because it's all melted where I go and come. Other parts of the state, even nearby higher elevations, are loaded with hundreds of inches of snow. I can't even imagine that. One man on a news story said that he crawled out a window of his house because he couldn't open any of his doors--the snow's too deep.

I like it more when the restaurants are in houses (they are here, mostly). This looks extra pretty, clean. I guess you'll have to go back to photograph more danish for us??

You got a lot of nice shots of this place, Jim. Was the management accommodating, or did you have to sneak? Is Terrell Daily Photo famous in town and do folks want their photo taken for the blog?

Does look warm, wonderful, pretty and inviting. DO they have poetry readings there? Art exhibits?

The shop has only been open a few months, it seems to be catching on. The owners daughter let me take any picture I wanted. They were very nice. I look forward to going back and getting more sweets.

Cool place I bet they will do well. So an orange danish? I'm thinking that wasn't on your resolution list. :)

That looks like a wonderful place...they've done such a nice job decorating it. I'll bet that it smells divine, and the orange danish sounds delicious!

I love all the bright colors, and I'd sure love to have a cup of their coffee. Hope this place succeeds.

Someone was inspired in their color choices for the walls.

How fast was that orange danish eaten, Jim?

What a charming place. Love the way they've decorated it. So natural. And I see lots of different coffee beans. Good!

Jim, you asked about the holes in the castle of Roquebrune. Yes, so far as I know,
they were for the archers to shoot through. However, there are some holes - which you see in other parts of the Chateau - which were used to support scaffolding beams when the castle was built.

Hmmmm, I think I smell coffee. I would like a cup of coffee with sugars in the nice cozy coffeehouse. :) Nice photo and I really like to smell coffee too.

:) You must not like coffee or can withstand temptation like nobody I've seen :) Aren't you sorry, you've waited so long to go in?

Looks very unique and I bet their danish was good too. :)

Wow! How cool is that?

We have a restaurant in NYC that has the same concept. But guests kept stealing the "decorations". The owner complained that someone took a frame photo of his grandmother from the restaurant.

This Koffee Kake is amazing! They are very friendly and kind to whom ever walks through the door. They also know people by name, which gives off a great vibe. The sweets are to die for and the sandwhiches and koffee are wonderful! If you haven't been there yet, GO!
