Unlimited notes

Tonight is family night at the Heritage Jubilee Carnival $30 will get unlimited rides all night. This is a drive-by shot from last night.

A few quick notes

I wasn't able to make it to the Kaufman TEA party yesterday. It was held during the noon hour. I did stop by the Rockwall TEA party at the Rockwall City Hall for a few minutes. I really wanted to just see what was going on. There was a nice size crowd. I didn't take any pictures.

Shawn has started a blog. I added a link to his site on the right.

Michael over at Obstructed View is off to a great start as publisher of the Tribune. Just changing the look of the paper has created a feeling of something new and fresh. He said there are more changes to come.

Ian Kinsler is a beast. As much as I love baseball, I have lived in the Dallas area for 15 years or so, and have never been to a Texas Rangers baseball game.

Wednesdays Tribune had an insert with a schedule of events for the Terrell Heritage Jubilee. The Jubilee is held in Ben Gill Park.

It looks like the Dallas area will not have a casting call for Big Brother 11....bummer. I was hoping after the success of the Survivor casting call in Terrell they would do something in the Dallas area.

This is going to be a long day, I was up till midnight watching the St. Louis Blues hockey playoff game. They lost, but put up a good fight. They are a heavy underdog.

Lake Texoma fishermen

Shawn and Mack fishing off of a dock at Lake Texoma. They bragged about how great they were. They caught zero fish Saturday afternoon.

Somehow I kept remembering the clip below when I saw them sitting out there. They were not out on the boat, but everything else seemed similar.

Super come back

What a Super Bowl and MVP performance by Santonio Holmes!

Kim and Shawn invited us over to watch Sunday nights Super Bowl. Shawn has been a Steelers fan for as long as I have known him. Here are a few pics from the night.

Before the game Shawns daughter and friends were out trying to get drivers to honk for the Steelers. I think they said they got 150 cars to honk.

Care for a cup cake with Super Bowl ring?

After the second quarter there were two commercials in 3-D. Look at the goobers in this pic. Well all but one is a goober, she at least has some class.

Whoops, shes a goober also.

I think after the Cardinals scored to take the lead, I saw a tear on Shawns face. Thankfully, Big Ben is the man and led his team to victory. The game is over and the good guys won. Sorry Cowboy fans and sorry to my relatives who live in Arizona.

New Years Eve

I guess I am a few days late posting pictures from New Years Eve. We went over to Shawn and Kim's house. Its gotten to be a tradition.

This is Mack, Michelle his wife couldn't be there. She had to pull a 12 hour shift on New Years Day.

Here is Margaret on guitar.

You can check out the New Years countdown on the you tube link to the right.

Looks like Kaufman County Online has made it official and is saying goodbye. Sorry to see it go, at times it was the only real news outlet for Terrell. If anyone wants to publish any announcements send over an email. I don't have the following they had, and I am not a writer, but I will be more than happy to publish upcoming events or news items.
