Abandoned train depot

The abandoned railroad depot in Dublin, TX,

A leftover reminder of a horrible past?  Maybe it was used as a prop in a movie?  I should have asked someone.

This place should be restored for future generations to admire, and Terrell should want to restore it for something beautiful in that town. Terrell could really use some beauty in their buildings. Restore Terrell to it glory, so its residents can be proud again of their buildings.

Wonderful old train station! These were so important at one time. I hope this is restored and maintained. Maybe used as some kind of community center.

Re your comment about our ...-challenged motorcycle riders - a majority of the people voted for our current governor (came from Texas!) who is in process of destroying our state, mainly by doing in the middle-class and the poor. The rich are getting richer!

Our problem is we have too many mentally-challenged ignoramuses within our borders!

They're restoring the train depot here in PB, FINALLY! The night I caught the train to Texas to visit ya'll in Sept 08, there was a sign on an outside wall saying they'd start the following summer, but guess they ran outa $! They're working on it, now, tho, & I'm gettin periodic shots, too! I'd love to buy it & LIVE IN IT, if only it wasn't in downtown POPLAR BLUFF so near all the raunchy bars!!! =)

However did you get to go inside, Jim? That's great! And I agree with your caption on the close-up of the door. Do you know if there are plans to renovate the station? It would certainly be a shame to see it demolished.
