I went out to the park to watch a little softball, but they weren't playing when I was there.  So, I went over to the baseball field and watched a little practice.

Another day of rain-Skywatch Friday

More rain last night, this time during the coed softball games. But nobody is complaining.  I snapped this with my iPhone while waiting for dinner.  What looks like a glare on the left is actually from the sun.  There were three spots, very strange.   Check out more Skywatch Friday sites here.

The weather has been cooler this week and we have gotten the occasional rain shower. It's been a nice break from the normal July dry weather and heat.

Ham Orchards

Saturday was the first chance to get out to Hams this year.  They have really expanded the store and pavilion area. Ham Orchards is open Monday-Saturday 9-5 through August 15th. Closed on Sunday.

The peach ice cream is my favorite, but you have to drive out and check out the other goodies they have to offer.

If you are coming from Dallas head out US 80 through Terrell about 3 miles.

The 5K runners lined up for the start of the Too Hot To Handle race yesterday morning.  The weather was unseasonably nice.  Low 70s, overcast, with a few sprinkles.  Over 2500 runners ran in the 5K and 15K races.  Noticed the guy in the St. Louis jersey, Cardinals fans are everywhere!
