Terrell Heritage Society Museum

This picture was never featured in its own post, but it does have a prominent place on my site. It's been the header picture since day 1. The photo was taken at night using only the light from the bank across the street and a street light.

Midway at the State Fair of Texas.

The State Fair is held in Dallas, Texas beginning at the end of September through October each year. This is looking down one side of the midway. In the back ground is the Texas Star Ferris wheel and the Texas Skyway.

Cement mixers in a row


This was first posted November 3rd. I think I like this pick because of its uniformity. All trucks in a row, waiting to begin their day. Since I took the picture, I have noticed them lined up every time I pass by.

Hungry?

A post yesterday by Web-OJ reminded me of a sign for a local chicken place. Not sure if its funny, gross or a very cleaver idea.....oh I mean clever. I haven't stopped in to try the chicken, it smells good, even if the picture is a bit fowl.

Trees still have leaves

North Frances home

Here is another of the nice homes in Terrell. This is located on North Frances St. Its for sale by owner if interested, email me I can give you the number. I dont know any of the history of the house, but it looks very nice. I really like the colors they used.

Never thought I would make it to 200 posts. Rather than post something new, I want post 200 to be something from the past, not something I posted before but something really old. So, staying in the holiday spirit, here is my sister and me on Santas lap. I dont know the year, but it had to be in the early 70s.

Maggianos

Yesterday was our Christmas lunch at work. We were treated to Maggianos in Plano, TX. The food was super. I would have taken pictures of the food but the people at my table were hungry and didn't care to wait.

The dining is family style, which was a first for me. They bring out the plates of food for the entire table. Our table had seven people, so they brought out food for seven. We had a whole chicken, pork, spaghetti and meat sauce, cheese ravioli. There was some green stuff, I think called vegetables, I didn't pay much attention to them. It was fun, and a great way to spend time with coworkers without talking work.

I hear today is the busiest day of the season for the postal service. One billion pieces of mail will be sent today through the US Postal Service.

Remember this post? I asked if it was a water tank or an alien spaceship. Happen to drive past with the draping up. Looks like they were just giving the water tank a coat of paint.

This is one of the large beautiful houses on Griffith St. in Terrell. Unfortunately today is a wet, overcast, cold, and dreary day. Can you tell?

2007 Terrell Texas Christmas parade
