Austin, Texas
Brian and I are in Austin and ready for the Capitol 10K. Yesterday we drove around Austin looking at old familiar sites. I forgot how much I liked Austin. More pictures later tonight and on the Monday Morning Mashup.

Skywatch Friday-Sunset
I couldn't help stop taking baseball pictures for a few minutes the other night to get a shot of the sunset. The picture doesn't do the sun setting behind the clouds justice.

Other Skywatch Friday sites can be found here.
The Tigers travel to Mabank tonight to play what could be the most important game of the year. Terrell lost to Mabank in the 1st half of the season at home. To have any chance of returning to the playoffs they have to win tonight.
Today is the last day for early voting in the Republican primary run off for Kaufman County District Attorney. Primary day is April 13th. This must be a special job. My house has gotten at least one piece of mail every day this week and yesterday got one from each candidate. It makes me wonder how much is being spent on this one race? The winner of the primary will be the DA. The Democrats in Kaufman County didn't field a candidate in the race.

Feeling brittle
Running every day this week is taking a toll on my knees. They are not painful, but they are sore.

Bike Riders
Noticed these riders on the side of the road on Saturday. Guess how many there are.

I added a set of pictures from Tuesdays baseball game between West Mesquite and Terrell on the Facebook page. Check the link to the right.

Tigers win the game lose a shortstop
The Tigers put away the Wranglers from West Mesquite last night winning 12-2 in a five inning 10 run rule game. The Tigers did lose lead off batter and starting shortstop Nathan Adam in the bottom of the 1st inning after he hurt his ankle on the 1st base bag. He left the game but he was able to put some weight on the ankle a little later on.

Lone Star High School Rodeo

This past Saturday Lone Star High School Rodeo Association held a rodeo at Wade Indoor Arena in Terrell. The rodeo includes students of all ages, not just from high school.

A set from the rodeo has been added to the Terrell Facebook page. Click the link to the right.

Monday Morning Mashup
The Terrell Tigers finished the first half of district play 2-4, so far one game out of a playoff spot. They begin the second half Tuesday night at home against West Mesquite. With last Fridays game being moved to Lancaster, the Tigers have 5 of their 6 remaining district games at home.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers begin their 2010 MLB season today. As of this morning, both teams are tied for first in their divisions and the Yankees are in last place, works for me.
I would love the chance to photograph a Rangers or Rough Riders game.
I found a familiar picture on Facebook last night. The fan page for the State Fair of Texas has a picture I took in 2007 posted as their profile picture. I don't know if its an official Fair page, but shouldn't I be compensated for use of my picture? :-) Of course, now it will probably be removed.
Sunday is the Capitol 10K in Austin, yeah I'm ready.
More photos from Friday nights baseball game at Lancaster are posted on the Terrell Daily Photo Facebook page.
Five years ago yesterday, I quit smoking.
Has the Terrell Wal-Mart lost their license to sell fire arms and ammo? Or is this old news?
Don and Brian have pictures posted of the high school rodeo held Saturday at Wade Indoor Arena. I'll have my pictures posted tomorrow. The pictures on the Arena site are mine, used with my permission.

Tigers win
Terrell traveled to Lancaster last night for a district baseball game that was scheduled to be played at home, but because of the rain yesterday morning it was changed to an away game. It didn't seem to matter. Terrell's lead off runner was safe on an infield single and the Tigers finished the first inning leading 10-0. The Tigers coasted from their getting their second district win of the season.

Flaps down
Thankfully I wasn't what this bird was interested in. It flew right past me, slowing down so I could keep taking pictures, that or slowing down to pluck something out of the water.

New cottage
I had a little extra time today so I decided to drive out to the countryside to see how my new home was coming along. The contractor said I should be able to move into it, in about 60 days........

Hey, give me a break, its not baseball.

Picked off
Another of the bad breaks that seem to find the Tigers. Thursdays game against Lancaster has been moved to Friday. Same time and location. The weather forecast for Friday, showers and thunderstorms. I'll have more pictures from the game on the Facebook page later this week.

Got a part for me?
Last week as we were driving through Dallas we noticed a lot of commotion on a side street. We swung around and I got the camera out, not knowing what was going on.

I was able to find online that they are shooting a Jerry Bruckheimer TV pilot called Chase.

I should have jumped out and given them my best "to beeeee or not to beeeee" in Mel Brooks fashion. I think I could have gotten a part.
Don't forget to become of a fan of Terrell Daily Photo on Facebook.
Last week NETFAA hosted a Paint Out in Terrell. I am not sure of the results, but below is one blog that shows one artists work. There's some very nice work on her site.
