Practical barn

Yesterday I had to show up to the Kaufman County Courthouse for jury duty.  If you saw my post yesterday afternoon, you know I didn't get picked.  Everyone hates when they get the jury duty notice.  Nobody wants to miss work and sit through what could be days in a boring courtroom.   I am glad I didn't get picked, but sitting there when they called out the names of those selected made me feel like I was in grade school and they were selecting sides for kickball.   I was thinking to myself CALL MY NAME, CALL MY NAME, I don't want to be left out!   When they finished calling the jurors and I didn't hear my name, I breathed a sigh of relief and left the courtroom.  I didn't want to be on no stinkin jury. Lets hope its another 10 years before I get called again.

Trica has changed the name of her barn series from old barns to barn charm.  Not sure this has much charm, but its practical.   Visit her site for other barns with charm.

Lady Tigers will battle the Lady Jackrabbits in Forney tonight.  Varsity tip off is 7:30.  Varsity boys host Forney at the TISD Athletic Complex, tip off is 8PM.

je prefere les anciennes fermes toute en bois, cela a plus de charme.

Interesting anecdote about your jury summons experience. It seems odd to me, tho, that something so fundamental to our legal system is avoided by so many.
Just about everyone I know feels the same way yet, if they had been chosen, the experience is valued by all who have gone through it...or, at least, that's what they tell me.

I've started to post again; that is, if I can figure out how to do it again on my new iMac!

I could use that practical barn on our new "ranch". Sometimes practical is GOOD! :)
