JP Morgan Chase building, Dallas, Texas

Brian posted a picture of the Trammell Crow building in Dallas on Saturday. My choice of downtown building is the JP Morgan Chase building. Its the 4th tallest building in Dallas and just a bit taller than the Crow building.

Growing up I always wanted to live in a de-lux apartment in the sky (if you get the reference, you are old). As I got older, the more I wanted to be away from the big city. It is neat to visit and take pictures, but that's about it for me.

malgré une vue magnifique, je n'aimerais pas vivre si haut. Elle est impressionnante.
in spite of a splendid view, I would not like to live so high. It is impressive.

Guess I am old! Like you, I prefer life away from the big city.

About the helicopter with arms posted on my blog for Skywatch, I received an email from someone who said the arms are GPS antennas. Interesting!

Hey now, I get the reference, but I'm NOT old rofl...That is one tall building, like the way you photographed it. I've never wanted to live in a big ol apt building. I prefer to be out in the sticks!

Movin' on up to the eastside? Too much commotion downtown, I too prefer the quiet area.

You sound like my husband...."let's move to the country, dear."

Great perspective and composition too!

I am a city girl. It is difficult to have a cozy house in a small corner of my tiny country. It would cost a fortune for the ideal home. So I am stuck in the city...lol

Dallas has some of the most unique skyscrapers. Did you have to get close to the ground to take this tall building?

Your reference now has the song singing in my head. I like high rises and looking out and the conveniences of walking out to restaurants and activities without using a car, but I also like my garden and a house. We fortunately live close to walk to many restaurants if we walk almost a mile so we have a decent urban experience without living in a high rise. I am glad you enjoyed my restaurant review. the food really is good. Today I am providing interesting information about artists from the past who have something in common with Digestif.
