First National Bank building, Terrell, Texas

Here is the familiar turn of the century First National Bank building on Moore Ave. in Terrell. You can see the passageway on the right. I have no idea whats behind the door. Its no longer a bank, its lawyer offices.

It was probably where they loaded money when it was still a bank. Now it's an escape hatch for lawyers with irate clients ;D

I like the building. As Olivier says, it looks like a temple — a temple to money though.

Beautiful ornate building. I think it is down to dungeon. MB

Cool, I think it is a basement where the money/gold were kept previously. :)

Strange location for the passageway. Maybe that was the main entrance for those without big bank money.

That architecture has left its mark on many libraries and banks across small town America!

Love that architecture. I bet the door just leads to a basement for storage.
