Theme Day-Electricity....or lack of

The March theme is electricity.  My pictures are from the vault.  A transformer blew down the street from me a while back, leaving us without electricity for a few hours.  I guess this would be electricity, fail.

Click here to check out a picture from Don J.   It's a great shot of the dangers of electricity and electrical accidents. While on is site, take a look at some of his other work, and let him know you stopped by.

c'est marrant, cela semble si petit et dire que c'est ça qui permet a l’électricité de passer

When I was in Jackson, I worked at a plant that makes equipment like this. I heard about a lot of electrical accidents and even saw pictures sometimes. You wouldn't believe the number of people who break into substations and try to steal the copper parts of the equipment. Most of those burglaries did not end well.

Yep, your vault photos work very well, Jim. And thanks for reminding me about Theme Day. I've now put the link on my post. Glad you liked it. About the shooting you mentioned, we have had some problems at a few MAX stations--muggings more than shootings.

Thanks for the link Jim.

Yikes! I'm always glad to see the electric guys arrive when the power goes out -- and never want them to rush their work. We have Florida Power & Light here and they have an amazing safety record.

We had one of these blow a block away from our old house in east Ocala. Sounded like the world came to an end!
