Setting up the big top

The Carson and Barnes Circus rolled into town yesterday morning.  They were scheduled for two shows yesterday and two more today.  I would have loved to have stayed around and watch them finish setting up, but I had a yard to mow.  I didn't go back and watch the show, that's more for the kids.

Amazing how many men it takes to put up a big top. I counted 9 guys in one shot. Even though Sarasota has a long tradition of being a circus town (Ringling circus used to winter here and circus schools are still popular), I've never actually seen a big top go up. Thanks for the nod to the Spartans. The Billikens put up a good fight. I was a bit nervous about that game. Here's to the Sweet 16!

Holy mackerel, Jim! What a great series! All of that for four shows? I hope they got lots and lots of happy customers in there. Yard to mow sounds so foreign to me since I don't have one--hooray for apartment-living!

No, I didn't sprinkle any Tabasco on my omelette. I want it exactly as it comes out of the kitchen, just right!
