Lake Lavon drought

This is a cove at Lake Lavon and was taken Saturday from hwy 78.  This area of the lake is normally filled with water.  This lake is a major source of water for a lot of the Dallas area.  If we dont get any rain,  next year it could drop to a level where water can not be pumped from the lake.

Praying for rain in Texas, Jim. Sometimes I forget. Thanks for this vivid reminder.

Yep, it'd be fun to ride in that Blastolene Brothers' vehicle today--if it was high enough off the surface of the road, that is.

THis looks dire. :(
Wish we could send you some of our rain. The weather peeps said yesterday we had almost double our normal rainfall this past October.

Wow...that's quite a visual when you compared it to the other photo. You're doing an excellent job of stretching your photographer wings. I think it's been one week since you posted a sports pic! Btw, the meters in downtown SRQ are incredibly easy to find and use. Visitors don't have any problems using them...it's the locals who have been out of sorts. :)
