It was Too Hot

Over 1900 runners took part in the 5K & 15K yesterday morning in the annual running of Too Hot to Handle at Norbuck Park.

It was hot when it started but not HOT.  It was HOT when I finished.  New this year are greeters handing out ice cold towels to all of the finishers.

This isn't a race to run for a good time because of the heat and the number of runners, but I did cut 2 minutes off of my time from last year.  Its not like I would be contending for a medal anyway.

Below is one of the 15K finishers who just crossed the finish line getting one of those ice cold towels.  I have posted a few more pictures from the 2011 Too Hot to Handle on my Facebook page. If its your first time to the Facebook page, make sure you 'like' it before you leave.

Last night we went to Southern Junction in Rockwall, Bob Harper was there filming Biggest Loser 12.  We were told no pictures, since the season is in the middle of filming, so no pictures.

What a comeback by the USA Woman's soccer team yesterday.  On to the semis.

felicitation, car courir sous cette chaleur, cela doit être vraiment éprouvant , malgré les serviettes froids

Whew! I know it's supposed to help when you've trained in those conditions, but it is still grueling. Congrats, Jim. Thank goodness for those towels! And congrats to the US Women!
