City of Terrell, Texas

In March I posted about having pictures of mine posted on the Terrell Chamber of Commerce website. Friday I got an email from the webmaster that he has posted a few of my shots on the City of Terrell's website. All of the pictures they used link back to my site and are tagged with my website name. Todays picture is of the City of Terrell's City Hall and Police Station that I posted back in August before I joined CDP, they share a small building and could use something new. This is one of the photos they used. I added a link to the City website to the sidebar.

Jim,
Thank you for the comments you have left complimenting the photos on my relatively new Daily Photo site for Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Congratulations on the recognition for your Daily Photo site through the linkage with the Chamber of Commerce.

Your photo of the city hall provides a contrast to the grand, elegant architecture the Carnegie Library on the masthead of your site. Does that contrast reflect a difference in attitudes towards public institutions? Compare the design of courthouses in the U.S. 100 years ago, which are like mini-cathedrals, with the design of courthouses today, which are much larger, but lack the grace and grandeur of the traditional courthouses.

That's a perfect snapshot of a small town, USA. I like it that the City Hall is not "fortified" against possible "terrorist attacks." It looks like a friendly building.

Congratulations on being part of an ever expanding web.

I missed the cowgirl photo yesterday. Nice shot too. I could tell you about saddle roping, but you will soon see and you will have fun watching.

I love the building. The trees in front give it Roots. ... as in it's been there a while. I'll be they provide shade that means something too. Maybe a cool breeze?
