Tigers jump out to 1-0

The Tigers earned their first win in almost 2 years beating Rusk 16-6. The Tigers defense stopped Rusk 4 times on 4th down and intercepted them twice.

The only score for Rusk was an interception that was ran in for a score.  The extra point was blocked and Quincy Jackson ran it back to give Terrell 2 points.

Michael Nelson, a sophomore playing his first varsity game, scored the Tigers first TD of the game on a 48 yard run.  Their second score was a 3 yard run by Quamyas White.

The Tigers had players playing offense and defense on a night when the game time temperature was near 100. Rayquain Brown had a good game on both side of the ball.  He rushed for 19 yards, caught 4 passes for 18 yards and on defense intercepted the Rusk QB.

Next week the Tigers are on the road playing Dallas Carter.
