Weekend work

This weekend was yard work, at least for a little bit....I cheated.

Before

After - with a little help of my lawn mower. You can see the trees still are holding a lot.

Sure beats the heck out of last January's yard work.

LOL I take the easy way out too! It looks great :)
Our trees are bare, no more leaves to be raked up!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with using a lawnmower to cut up leaves! We sure do it.

I left an award for you over on my blog today.

Looks like you and the mower made a clean sweep, Jim. And from the leaves on the trees, a few more sweeps yet to come.

What a difference that makes. Do you use them in a compost bin for next years garden?

I was able to get several bags of leaves from a friend, for my compost bin. When she asked me what I needed them for, I said, 'They are selling on ebay like hotcakes.' She was dead silent for a minute, and then said 'Really!?' LOL I need to go get more leaves this week. I only have pine trees.

We pay a couple of fellows to come and do our garden once a fortnight - recently they've been mainly raking leaves!

That's the trouble with autumn, the trees drop their leaves throughout the month. Clean up is a weekly task. I am happy to say, my yard work is complete. I am sad to report, it's freezing up here, literally. ;)
