Next year is here

In sports, losers have a saying, "wait till next year". Tonight begins "next year" for the Dallas Mavericks.

Pictured is the Maverick logo taken from one of my jerseys. Lets hope my Maverick jersey does not end up in the same place my Cowboy jersey ended up.

Anybody watch the end of the World Series last night? I think all games should start in the 6th inning. Watching the game was tolerable.

cette année, je veux bien parier que San Antonio (meme si ils ont perdus cette nuit) va récupérer son titre et Tony Parker sera All Star

This year, I am willing to bet that San Antonio (although they lost that night) will reclaim its title and Tony Parker will be All Star

I didn't watch but my husband was. He was a bit ticked that it was delayed 10 minutes because of Obama's infomercial.

I watched part of the game but games like this no longer interest me like they did when I was a lot younger.

I am doing something different on my Gordon, Ohio blog. I set out to photograph and describe every house in the village where I was born.

Well, I have to root for the Suns! Our son's friend can get us tickets!!! Yipee! Anyway, we watched the world series last night and while I had wanted the Rays to win (and because of that, they lost), it was kind of fun watching that stadium explode when the Phillies won!
I rooted for the Cubs, then the Dodgers... So I tried not to show ANY LOVE for Tampa Bay.

Well, we have already talked baseball, you and I, and you know where my heart lies. But I think a better question is, "Did anybody watch the World Series?"

: )

As it happens, last night was the only game I watched, for the very reason you pointed out...it started in the 6th, and I knew I wouldn't have to feign interest long!

LOL, don't you just love having so many different sports and teams to watch and root for, or yell at?? Go Spurs! Despite their loss last night to the Suns, I'm still excited the season has started. And that Tim Duncan looks great once again.

hey, I'm a Phillies fan, and look how long it took them to get to the Series - and win

Well the Mavericks have been in the news a lot lately, but in the political arena, not the sports arena.... Hope it's a good season for the Mavericks!!!

I am not much of a sports fan. At best I have a passing interest in these guys and not much else.

Love the vicksburg trip pictures. Now I can get into Civil War battlefields. I am a big reader of history. Going to Vicksburg and the (I think its called) Normandy Landing Museum are on my to do lists. Maybe the next time my wife visits her family in Mo. I will drive over and check them out.
