Baseball finally

Last night was the first district game of the year for Terrell and North Forney.  It featured a pitchers duel that probably won't be topped for a while.  Terrell came out on top 2-1 in 10 innings.  This was one of those games where I was so into the game, I missed some of the best plays. 

But here are a few.

Terrell HS grad takes his game overseas

Terrell HS graduate Dwight Gentry recently signed to play professional basketball in Spain.  Dwight contacted me, and I passed on the info to the Terrell Tribune.  His story was in the March 7th paper.

Lady Tigers Win

The Lady Tigers soccer team won their first district game of the year last night beating Royse City 1-0.  Analyse Abrams-Malone scored the only goal of the game.

Below is a picture of Analyse from Monday nights fog game.  I skipped last nights game and they won.......go figure.

Soccer doubleheader

Bad weather last week forced the boys and girls soccer teams to play a double header last night in Terrell.  The temperature was a balmy 42 degrees with lots of fog.

Friday afternoon snow

By the time I got home from work most of the snow had melted off of the streets.  However, temperatures are supposed to remain below freezing overnight with snow, sleet and freezing rain before morning.   On the bright side, it's supposed to be 73 degrees on Tuesday.

Saturday morning was the Form Follows Fitness 5K in downtown Dallas.

Winter Storm Warning

A winter storm warning has been issued our county through tomorrow at 6PM.  They expect a low temperature of 28 degrees, 1/2" to 1" of sleet and 0.1 inches of ice before Monday morning.  Call in the National Guard!

The Lady Tigers had to deal with the wet cold weather and the Hawks from Rockwall Heath.  They ended up losing 5-0 but these ladies are tough.

It was a dreary day yesterday but I still wanted to get a picture of this house while they are painting it.  Its going from a dark forest green to a light yellow and green.  The green on the cupola is the old color. 

#TBT Throw Back Thursday

I dont think I have ever posted this one.  This is from 1986 in Korea.  I was in the Air Force stationed at Osan in 6th TIG.  This was at one of the local bars. Friends from Japan were visiting.

Like a girl

Did you get a chance to see the commercial during the Super Bowl called "Like A Girl".  The Lady Tigers can run, throw, lift and pitch circles around a lot of guys.

Antonio Harris wins his weight class

Saturday was the North Forney Invitational Powerlifting meet.  The Terrell Tigers sent a boys and girls team and they both had a great day.  The Lady Tigers finished tied for 4th out of 17 teams and the boys team finished tied for 4th out of 19 boys teams.
