I know quite a few people had it done, but I guess different people have different recovery times. I worn glasses since the 7th grade and contacts since high school. I have been scared to get mine done too so I will be interested to hearing about your results.

A friend of mine had it done and the results are brilliant! I won't tell you about his procedure, but he says it was worth it.

Well, you do better than me! I chase myself around the room and still manage to get the eye drops on my face and not my eye. Good luck on LASIK. I've thought about it, gone to meetings, read the documents and still haven't taken the plunge. I hope they give you "happy to be there" pills to help calm you!

Wow, all the luck to you. I am scared out of my pants when someone would try to do something with my eyes, so more power to you! I have heard nothing but good about it though!

A flickr friend of mine had the surgery last year. Everything went just fine. He complained about the pain for a day or so, but that was it. Good luck.

Haha, I like that picture, too funny! Hey, try and relax about the procedure (I know, easier said than done) but all the people I know who have had it done are very happy and it wasn't a big deal. I'm like you, I wouldn't want to know all the details, just do it!

My husband had Lasik surgery a few years ago. He says it is the best thing he has ever done! He loves not having to wear glasses anymore and it has really improved his vision, especially depth perception. He can see details now that used to be missing and he never even realized it until he had the surgery - it really improved his eyesight. You'll be glad that you did it!!
