2nd LT Logan Smith

Where are they now?

2nd LT Logan Smith, Aims High

Logan graduated from Terrell in 2009, I remember watching Logan play baseball for the Tigers at Ben Gill Park. After graduating, Logan went to Letourneau University where he played baseball with two other Terrell alumni, Chuck Daugherty and Barrett Calverly. He studied Aeronautical Science while there. After 2 years at LETU he transferred tothe University of South Carolina and joined the SC Air National Guard. He has been in the Air Guard for 4 ½ years ago, the first 3+ as enlisted. He received his commission in July 2015. He was hired by the Oregon Air National Guard in 2014. The Oregon Air Guard flies the F-15C. Logan is about half way through pilot training at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, having just completed the T-6 training and beginning the T-38 training, he is on track to graduate in October of this year. Following pilot training Logan and his wife will be going back to the Oregon Air National Guard to begin F-15C training. Logan married to his high school sweetheart Hayden Neely almost 2 years ago. Hayden is a labor and delivery nurse. They don’t have any kids yet, but are looking forward to starting a family.

Logan said the biggest advice he would give High School Seniors who are about the graduate and go to college or in to the work force is, “Everyone has a different
Path they go down and different goals they want to achieve. First, set goals you want to achieve in the next couple of years that will set you up for success. Second,
research and seek advice from others to help you make a plan to reach those goals. Lastly, build relationships and invest in others along the way, because it doesn't
matter what you achieve if you don't have others next to you to enjoy it."

Young kids, if you are looking for role models from Terrell, start with Logan and Hayden

Nice colors

A few may need to be trimmed, but I wish I could get roses to grow this full.

Garret - Senior

Sunday morning I got to take pictures for Garret Morris.  He's a senior at North Forney.  He's a 3 year varsity letter winner in baseball, and as you can see, he is #7.
