Winfrey Point

Yesterday was the Dallas White Rock n Roll race at White Rock Lake.  Like the other races put on by the Dallas Running Club, this race started and ended at Winfrey Point.  Winfrey Point has been in the news because the Dallas Arboretum plans to plow over fields to provide temporary parking.  Plans were discovered that a parking garage is also in the works.  Protesters were out yesterday trying to save Winfrey Point.

Brian and I ran the 10 mile race.  My goal was to finish in under 2 hours.  I didnt quite make it, finishing in 2:02:07.  The DRC always puts on first class races and this one was no different.

Next week is another 10 mile run at Winfrey Point, this one is the Five & Dime run by Mellew Productions.
