Skywatch Friday-A little help

Sometimes you need a little help.  More Skywatch Friday sites are here.

Tonight the Terrell Tigers play their final game of the year against Ennis.  This will be the last game for the Class of 2012.

Last nights topic at the Terrell Citizens Police Academy class was traffic stops and patrol cars.  We got to drive a patrol car, flip the lights on and pull another classmate over.  It was fun, and a great learning tool.  The patrol officer is usually the face of the police department and they get a lot of flack for what they do.  They do more than just pull people over and write tickets.  They are the officers out on the streets at night making sure our town is safe while we are at home in bed.  I appreciate what they do every day during every shift.  I look forward to being able to do a ride along.

Saturday is the Lone Star Casa Speak Up For Kids 5K in Rockwall, TX. and the Theta 5K at SMU that benifits the Dallas CASA.  Brian and I will be running at the SMU race.  Each person who registers for the SMU race recieves a ticket to the SMU homecoming game Saturday afternoon.

Run On Texas has links to each race site.

If you missed out on the Plano balloon festival, head up to Celina for the Celina Balloon Festival tonight and tomorrow.  Its more than just balloons, they will have a car show, live music, rides, laser show and more. Its only $5 to get in and $5 for parking.  Sounds like a bargain.
