Flag Day

Yesterday was Flag Day, it's a day that commemorates the adoption of the Flag of the United States. Its also an opportunity to remember what our flag stands for and the freedoms we have.

I spent most of my day yesterday following developments in Iran on Twitter. I have been following Change for Iran, a university student in Tehran and IranElection. I wonder what information would be getting out of Iran if Twitter wasn't available? The normal news outlets seem to have have been slow to pick up the coverage.

Tehran Live, a City Daily Photo site, has been posting videos and pictures from protests. His images are powerful and I have seen them all over the internet. The reach a CDP blogger can have is amazing. He has a note on his site that it has been banned in Iran. If for some reason you can not get to his site, try Portland Daily Photos, he is an Iranian living in Portland, Or. He is reposting Tehran Live on his site.

Here are a few more pictures from the fun this weekend at Ben Gill Park.

I think the weather word of the week is going to be HOT. Alison at the Tribune has a few ideas on how to spend the hot days.
