Its been a while since the building was used as a library, today its home to the Terrell Heritage Museum. I would love to one day be able to take a laptop and scanner in there and scan all of the photos they have. I bet they have photos in there that people haven't seen in years.

I love the old building, but your new header is quite wonderful and filled with energy!
cette photo était très belle mais j'aime bien ta nouvelle photo de présentation.
this picture was very nice but I like your new photo presentation.
I recognized this building right off as you before even reading the name!
I do like your new header, it's a statement of all your efforts!
It would be great to take pics of the stuff inside the museum. Go for it. MB
Love the new header Jim, even got the Iris sign in there! LOL. Only crit i have with it, is that i find it really hard to read the text at the top.
I will miss your former header, but I like the new one...lots to look at!
I guess your Daily Photo site has outgrown the Carnegie Library Photo on your header, just like your community has outgrown the Carnegie Library, as have most communities.
In addition to the Phoenix Daily Photo by Sharon posting of the old Carnegie Library in Phoenix a couple of days ago, I recommend the Carnegie Libary building on the town square of Sonoma, California. It is now used for the visitors center and is a delightful place to pick up brochures on the wineries, restaurants, and other attractions in the area. It sets the tone for the quaintness and charm of the wine country community.
Good to have a change all the time. The building would be missed. Would be a good idea to put this building at the side bar. :)
I like the original one, but I hear you need to adapt to change or someone may steal your cheese... I've been thinking of a new banner photo as well, and since I'm in Terrell too... hmm... thoughts to ponder.
That is such a beautiful old building! It would be a very interesting project to scan in their old photos. I wonder if you should volunteer? They might appreciate the help in preserving history...
Jim, please go inside and ask about scanning the photos. It's a splendid idea, I believe.
Thanks for much for putting this photo here so that I can take another loving look at it.
Your new banner is a creative ode to your love for Terrell and all that goes on there. It's splendid in its own right, just like the Carnegie Library building.
I agree with you 100% about how much people "invest" in high school sports--it's out of proportion to real life and what we need to make of it and what we need to be teaching our young people. At least I think that's what you meant, and I do mean it myself.
