Road Trip-Dallas Farmers Market again

I mentioned yesterday that at the Dallas, Texas Farmers Market you could get a lot more than just produce. There are thousands of flowers, ferns and trees that can be bought to brighten up your yard or garden. We are going to go back and get a couple hanging ferns for our front porch. The ferns are huge.

We got a Texas Star flower at the farmers market probably 5 years ago. Its still going strong and is coming up again this year. Here is a picture of one of the flowers from last summer. It probably is 8 inches across.

A great selection of plants. I am partial to ferns, but those star flowers sound neat.

Nothing better than a great farmer's market.

That Texas Star is something else, Jim! I'd have to stay away from this part of the market because I don't have any dirt to plant anything in, up here on the 4th floor. Well, I could go look at take pictures--that would be fun. By the way, those to-go boxes contain the rest of the two pictured appetizers because neither Mama nor I could finish ours. Yummy left-overs.

Look at all the colors. Really pretty. I love plants and could probably spend hours there. MB

"You can trust your car to the man that wears the star...the BIG BRIGHT Texaco Star!" You are probably too young to remember this gas commerical.
That is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that big ole flower...(I will admit that there is a lot of space of there just waiting for SOMETHING to pop in!)

Those are some colorful plants and so neatly placed.

That's one gorgeous planting strip! Like your market photos the last couple of days, too. Especially the carmel apples. Only drawback to eating those is the carmel sticks to my beard!
